"Hold it, Spine Buster's my car! Nobody drives my car but me!" - Mark "Wylde" Wylde

Spine Buster was a Metal Maniacs car owned by Markie "Wylde" Wylde, built to replace his Corvette Stingray.

History[]

The vehicle is destroyed and ripped apart when Monkey is captured by a Sweeper and its machinery during the Metro Realm. Tork had allowed Monkey to use it after Nolo smashed the windshield on Monkey's car. This event begins a rivalry between Wylde and Tork. Spine Buster enters 5 realms: Storm, Swamp, Cavern, Water & Metro (Driven by Monkey). After the car's destruction in the Metro Realm, Wylde switches to Flathead Fury.

Notes[]

  • Spine Buster is one of the only cars used by the Metal Maniacs to have a grappling hook, alongside Rivited and Piledriver.
  • It is one of only two Metal Maniac cars to be powered by an engine other than a V8, the other being Rat-ified.
  • It is the only car in Acceleracers that has its own engine sound.
  • The show and die-cast model has somewhat a resemblance to a C6 Corvette, but refitted for a mid-engine set up (coincidentally, the first official mid-engine Corvette was revealed in 2019, called C8 Corvette, or 8th gen Corvette).
  • However, the card game model looks straight up like a heavily modified Ford GT40. the front end of the car is almost the same as the real life model.
    • It also has only 2 exhaust pipes instead of 3 like in the die-cast and show. Moreover, it also has similarly positioned taillights, further supporting this theory.
    • It also has a smaller and shorter back spoiler.
